Guidelines

Abstract Submission Guidelines

• Abstracts must be written in English, approximately 300–500 words, and may optionally include one or two key figures or tables.
• Download the Abstract Template from the conference website under the Submission section and fill in the title, authors, affiliations, corresponding author’s email, keywords, and abstract text.
• Submit the completed PDF or Word file via email to 2026iec@uregina.ca, with the subject line: IEC2026_Abstract_(First Author’s Surname)_(Topic Area)
• File naming format: IEC2026_Abstract_T#S#_Surname_FirstInitial_YYYYMMDD.pdf Example: IEC2026_Abstract_T1S3_Zhang_L_20250120.pdf
  (T# = Theme number [T1–T3]; S# = Subtopic number [S1–S8]; Date = YYYYMMDD)
• Submissions must be original and unpublished elsewhere. Content should align with conference themes, and all references must be properly cited. Figures and tables must have copyright clearance. If human or machine experimental data are involved, an ethics compliance statement should be included.

Arrangement

Review and Session Arrangement

Review Process: The Academic and Publication Committee will conduct a single-blind review to assess abstracts for academic quality and relevance. Topics may be merged or reassigned as needed.

Presentation Format: Based on review results and scheduling, presentations will be assigned as Oral or Poster presentations. Oral presentations are allocated 15 minutes plus 5 minutes for discussion.

Notification: Acceptance notifications and official invitation letters (for visa or reimbursement purposes) will be sent by email.

* Please download the abstract submission template, complete the author information and all required fields, and then convert your abstract into a PDF file. The finalized PDF should be submitted via email to 2026iec@uregina.ca for consideration by the conference committee.

authors selecting “Presentation and Journal Submission via Conference,” detailed submission instructions —including templates, submission systems, and formatting requirements —will be provided by the cooperating journals.
